This Policy describes how Amanecer Austral SpA uses cookies and similar technologies on amaneceraustral.com, what consent we request and how you can manage your preferences at any time.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that the browser stores on your device when you visit a website. It serves to remember information between sessions, maintain the state of your logged-in session, or measure how the site is used.
The same regulatory framework covers equivalent technologies such as:
- localStorage / sessionStorage: key-value storage in the browser.
- Invisible pixels (web beacons) loaded from external providers.
- Device identifiers and digital fingerprinting, which we do not use.
2. Applicable legal framework
- European Union: Directive 2002/58/EC ("ePrivacy"), Art. 5.3 — any placement of cookies or reading of information stored on the user's device requires prior informed consent, except where strictly necessary to provide the requested service.
- United Kingdom: Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
- Chile: Law 21.719 on the Protection of Personal Data, as regards processing purposes and the right to withdraw consent.
- Globally: GDPR (EU 2016/679) applies when a cookie enables the processing of personal data.
3. Categories we use
We distinguish three categories of cookies and similar technologies. Only the "Necessary" ones are active by default. The rest require your explicit consent through our banner.
3.1 Necessary (always active)
Indispensable for the site to function. They do not require consent under Art. 5.3 ePrivacy (exemption for a "service expressly requested by the user").
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider | | ------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------- | ------------------------------ | | aa_session | Authenticated visitor session (OAuth login + password recovery) | 30 days | Amanecer Austral (first-party) | | aa_locale | Preferred language (es / en / pt / de) | 1 year | Amanecer Austral (first-party) | | aa_currency | Display currency (UF / CLP / USD / EUR / BRL) | 1 year | Amanecer Austral (first-party) | | aa_cookie_consent (localStorage) | Stores the cookie decision, its version and timestamp | 12 months | Amanecer Austral (first-party) | | Cloudflare cookies (__cf_bm, cf_clearance) | Bot mitigation, anti-DDoS protection | up to 30 days | Cloudflare Inc. |
3.2 Analytics (optional)
They help us understand site performance in aggregate terms (which properties are viewed most, which paths convert best) without identifying individuals.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider | | ------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------ | ------------------------------- | | Plausible Analytics | Aggregate traffic metrics, no cookies, no persistent identifiers | None (uses no cookies) | Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia) |
Technical note: Plausible is a privacy-first solution that sets no cookies and generates no persistent identifiers. Under Art. 5.3 of ePrivacy, its use may be exempt from the consent requirement. Nonetheless, we present it as optional and under the "Analytics" category for transparency.
3.3 Marketing (optional, requires explicit consent)
They allow measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, optimizing paid-media spend and personalizing the experience. They are activated only when you grant explicit consent in the banner.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider | | --------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------- | -------------------- | | _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 — funnel measurement, cross-device attribution | up to 24 months | Google LLC | | _gcl_au | Google Ads — conversion and remarketing | 90 days | Google LLC | | _fbp | Meta Pixel — remarketing on Facebook and Instagram | 90 days | Meta Platforms, Inc. | | _ttp | TikTok Pixel — remarketing and conversions | 13 months | TikTok Pte. Ltd. | | _li_ss, li_gc | LinkedIn Insight Tag — B2B remarketing | up to 24 months | LinkedIn Corporation | | Vimeo cookies | Playback of embedded property tour videos | session | Vimeo, Inc. | | Custom cookies configured by the administrator | Variable depending on the injected script | Variable | Variable |
Important: Vimeo videos load lazily and remain blocked until you grant Marketing consent. Before consent, we display only the video thumbnail.
4. Consent mechanism
4.1 Initial banner
The first time you visit the site (or when we issue a new version of this policy) a banner is shown with three options:
- Accept all: enables Analytics + Marketing.
- Reject optional: only Necessary cookies remain active.
- Customize: opens a panel where you can choose category by category.
The banner does not preload or fire any Analytics or Marketing cookie until you choose. The Necessary cookies and those of the Cloudflare anti-bot system are active because they are strictly required for the site to function.
4.2 Storage of consent
We store your decision in two ways:
- Local: in
localStorageunder the keyaa_cookie_consent, with the policy version (2026.05.13.1), the timestamp and the categories accepted. This allows the banner not to reappear while your decision remains valid. - Audit log: in our database (table
consent_records), we record version, categories, IP, user agent and origin of the decision. This meets the GDPR requirement of being able to demonstrate that consent was valid (Art. 7.1).
We retain the consent record for 24 months from its last update.
4.3 How to manage your preferences at any time
In the site footer you will find the "Cookie preferences" link that reopens the customization panel. You can:
- Change your decision on any optional category.
- Withdraw previously granted consent.
- Verify the version of the policy you have consented to.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out while it was active.
4.4 Browser-level configuration
Independently of our banner, you can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking the Necessary cookies may prevent the site from functioning (for example, you will not be able to log in or save favorites).
Instructions per browser:
5. Third-party cookies
When you consent to Analytics or Marketing, third parties may set cookies under their own domains. We do not directly control these cookies; we recommend reviewing the privacy policies of the respective providers:
6. What we do not use
For greater transparency, we declare that, as of this date, we do not use the following practices:
- Device fingerprinting (passive digital fingerprint).
- Affiliate or programmatic ad-network cookies (e.g. RTB).
- Automated decisions with legal or significant effect based on profiles.
- Sale of personal data to third parties.
If in the future any of these practices changes, we will update this policy and request new consent.
7. Link to the Privacy Policy
The use of cookies in optional categories may involve the processing of personal data. The purposes, legal bases, retention periods and data-subject rights are detailed in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
When we substantially modify this policy (new category, new provider, change of duration), we will increment the internal version and the banner will request your consent again. The "last updated" date at the top of the document always reflects the current version.
9. Contact
